Impact crusher is a kind of crusher which involves the use of impact rather than pressure to crush material. The material is contained within a cage, with openings on the bottom, end, or side of the desired size to allow pulverized material to escape. There are two types of impact crushers: horizontal shaft impactor and vertical shaft impactor.
Working principle of impact crusher When the impact crushing machine works, the motor drives the rotor which is installed with hammers at high speed. When the materials get into the area which the hammers affect, under the impact function of the hammer at a high speed, the materials are thrown to the impact device above the rotor continuously. And then the materials are rebounded from the impact liner to the area where the hammers function for re-crushing. The materials from large to small all to be crushed at the impact chamber repeatedly. The process won’t stop till the material are crushed to the required size and then discharged from outlet of the impact stone crusher and mineral impact crusher.
Impact crusher are mostly used as secondary crusher and it well fits for crushing numerous medium and soft mineral &rock materials, such as limestone, feldspar, calcite, talc, barite, clay, tombarthite, kaolin, gypsum, and graphite, etc.
Base on the plentiful experience of producing and marketing of impact crusher, SBM R&D institution designed the PFW series impact crusher. It is the newest style impact crusher and has been widely used in many industries, like chemical, metallurgy, road and bridge construction and sand making and so on.
